Kelptyn's case was reviewed this week at the hospital's Neuro-Oncology Tumor Board. A team of neurosurgeons, oncologists, and radiologists discussed his history/recurring ICP issues. So hopefully they have a plan B for a surgery if/when Kelptyn's ICP returns. We are grateful and thankful for their time in caring for our son.
It's hard to believe that Kelptyn's Fight has raged on for 2 years now. This kid has been knocked down so many times and he has learned/re-learned so many skills. Even as his body is possessed by the drug that makes him a dining/stoned dinosaur, he still finds something to laugh about each day, while he gains expressive language skills and adds words to his repertoire along with other tricks that most of us take for granted. We love him more and more each day. His spirit's light is larger than life, so we follow his lead as his fight continues.
