Despite this muddy marrow production, we have been granted permission to take Kelptyn home from the hospital tomorrow. We will be adding to his home medication regimen. He will have two IV infusions at home daily, along with two shots a day, and a third (extra) shot of GCSF every Tuesday and Friday. Kelptyn will be house bound for a while with weekly doctor appointments until something changes. We are looking forward to getting him home, but bummed he won't be well enough to start school next Monday. Hopefully, home will bring him the medicine he is missing the most.
Kelptyn continues to teeter totter with his red and white blood cell production. His white cell production is extremely low. ANC zero to be more specific. His hemoglobin is better, but still not the best. Kelptyn is eating, playing, singing, back in his underwear, walking some, and currently bothered by all the daily hospital annoyances.
