Today's clinic visit went great. According to his lab results, Kelptyn's donor bone marrow seems to be working and growing inside him. Just some minor chemistry adjustments needed this week. So far so good. The best part of the visit was the discovery of Kelptyn's first tooth!!! Usually, kids diagnosed with this blood (bone) disorder either: don't get ANY teeth, have delayed tooth eruption, or only get SOME teeth. So I think the tooth fairy needs to come tonight and every night that Kelptyn gets a tooth. Thank God for small miracles. Funny enough he hasn't complained once about it....I guess cutting teeth is a walk in the park compared to what he's been through.
