Well, it's official Day +13 marked Kelptyn's engraftment. His WBC count was around 6,000 today so if he holds on to his high numbers tomorrow he won't need his "miracle grow" drug to help him for a bit. This is good news since the drug makes his bones mass produce the donor cells which makes his bones ache quite a bit. The aches have been keeping him up at night, but he seems to settle to sleep with Mommy or Daddy sharing the couch with him. It's been about a week since he could sleep in his crib comfortably by himself. He is doing really well otherwise and now we will hope that these cells take up a permanent home forever. The doctors will be slowly changing all his medications from IV form to oral form over the course of the next week. So hopefully if all goes well Kelptyn will get to go home sometime next week. Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and love sent our way. We are very pleased with his progress and remain optimistic about his journey that's yet to come.
