Lately, his blood lab results have shown us good blood cell production across the board, but he still needs IVIG (antibodies) on a regular basis because of all the long term steroid use. Speaking of steroids, we are ramping up his dose starting tonight. Kelptyn's rash has been spreading and getting worse over the past two weeks and it coincides with his donor cells ramping up too. He is now showing 51% donor T-cells and 3% donor M-cells. Other than itching like crazy, Kelptyn is his usual happy self wanting to be Mr. Independent.
We are still going in to the hospital clinic once a week for hematology appointments and next week we will follow up with his plastic surgeon regarding the plates/braces in his head from his expansion surgery.
