This recovery has been more difficult than all the others. He had some respiratory distress, followed by belly bleeding that put us back in the ICU for four days. Then at the end of our ICU visit we discovered that one of his double lumens in his Broviac clotted off (which is more than likely because the ICU nurses did not have his IV flow rate high enough, URGH!). So we're on day #2 of trying to fix that. I'm not sure if they can fix it without another surgery. One intervention leads to another which leads to another until they get you at least stable enough to go home. Ho hum..
